“Big, The Musical” is based on the very popular 1988 Tom Hanks film "Big". Anxious to escape childhood, Josh Baskin, a 13-year-old boy, grows up overnight after being granted his wish by a carnival's mechanical fortune telling machine.
He tries to cope with his new, awkward adulthood with the aid of his best friend Billy. Along the way, a toy company executive hires him to test and green-light toys for production and he attracts the romantic attention of Susan Lawrence, the company's Vice-president of Marketing who falls in love with his open and playful spirit. Soon, he and Billy are trying to find the magic machine so he can wish himself to be a kid again!
With a delightful score by Richard Maltby and David Shire ("Baby", "Starting Here Starting Now" and "Close Than Ever") "Big, The Musical" is a timeless story about the dreams of childhood, the realities of adulthood, and reminds us to keep in touch with the kid inside, no matter what our age.

While watching the King’s parade, young housewife Louise drops her drawers -- accidently, of course! Her husband Theo is shocked, and sure that he will lose his government job as a result.
Events soon take a “wild-and-crazy” turn as would-be suitors move into their spare room and wreak romantic havoc with Louise behind Theo’s back!
Steve Martin brings his comic genius to this outrageous look at politics, sex, and feminism.
PG-13 for suggestive language and humor.

Godspell casts a positive message through a doubting world. From the now famous song “Day By Day,” to the light-hearted “Learn Your Lessons Well,” Godspell invites us to dream big, to become more, and to value each member in the “family of man.”
Based on The Gospel According to Matthew, Godspell is a whimsical tale held together through skits, mime, impersonations, and of course song and dance. Come help us create a “beautiful city,” and call it the City of Man”!

1944 Big Band Comedy Canteen (part of the Walker Lecture Series)
September 25 @ 7:30 pm and September 27 @ 2 pm
Direction and Choreography
by Betty Thompson
Music Arrangement and Direction by Joel Mercier
Costumes by Marlys Rich
Audience members will be able to step back in time to 1944 when World War ll was still raging, patriotism was at an all time high, radio (and not TV) was the favorite medium of family amusement and entertaining our troops was a top priority.
Audience members won’t just be watching a delightful show, they will also be entertained by an all-star radio show being broadcast to soldiers overseas. This was radio’s golden age, and what better way to entertain the troops then to have the likes of the Andrews Sisters, Al Jolson, Betty Hutton, Eddie Cantor, Groucho Marks, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole and Bob Hope entertaining over the airways with a mix of songs and skits.
The finale of the show is a flag waving, toe tapping event with Kate Smith singing “God Bless America” and George M. Cohan’s “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “Grand Old Flag” and a drill sequence performed by the ROTC Cadets from West High School in Manchester.
This is part of the Walker Lecture Series and is a free event with general admission seating.
