And Now, The Rest of the Story
The Community Players continue their tradition of fun and variety (plus a short business meeting) at this Annual event with Potluck Dinner. The agenda will include special recognitions, unsung heroes, scholarships, the Osy Strong Award presentation and the announcement of our 97th Season. Cindy Dickinson will host “Stories from the Stage” starring, possibly, YOU (see below!). It’s a great evening to reunite with company members, celebrate this record season and applaud your remarkable contributions – as well as “network” and sign up for new opportunities in Season 97!
We will have a Potluck Dinner, and ask that you bring the following, based upon the first letter of your last name:
A-G: Please bring a salad or side dish
H-N: Please bring an entrée
O-Z: Please bring a dessert
ALSO, please bring a small card listing ingredients of your dish.
And, bring your own soft drink or adult beverage.
“Stories from the Stage” — Starring, possibly, YOU!
Whenever theatre people have a chance to talk there are lots of good stories — funny, moving, instructive, even scary ones — and they say a lot about this world we all love so much.
The entertainment portion of this year’s Annual Meeting will be a unique opportunity for participants to tell a good theatre story. Kind of like a Moth Radio Half-Hour.
If you have a good story to tell and would like a large, appreciative audience, our Stories from the Stage entertainment at Annual Meeting will feature 35 minutes devoted to five of these great stories.
Your story can be anything you choose as long as it meets the following criteria:
- 5 minutes MAX (because we are on a tight schedule)
- Should illustrate some kind of point about your experiences in theatre, or have a theme or lesson learned. (Basically, all theatre stories do these)
- Should reflect your best skills as an actor/storyteller
Because we don’t know how many of you will be interested and because we can only have 5 stories this time around, if you would like a chance to tell your story, please let Cindy Dickinson know by Friday, May 31 by email (cdcarolinablue@gmail.com) or by phone (603-924-1925).
Your name will be put into a hat and we will draw 5 to feature at Annual Meeting.
(If we don’t draw your name don’t worry because we are going to put together our own version of the Moth Story Hour that features your theatre stories as a longer entertainment in the future.)
Please submit your name to Cindy (text, email or phone) by May 31 if you would like a chance to tell a good story to people who will love and appreciate it AND you!
