COVID-19 Safety Measures
Updated: April 12, 2023
SAFETY MEASURES APPLICABLE TO PATRONS OF PLAYERS’ PERFORMANCES AT THE CONCORD CITY AUDITORIUM
The following safety measures shall apply to patrons attending our shows at the Concord City Auditorium. (For our shows presented at Hatbox Theatre, the Hatbox’s policies shall apply. See www.hatboxnh.com.)
Note: we reserve the right to adjust our safety protocols on short notice. Ticket holders are asked to watch for communications from the Players regarding protocol changes for upcoming performances. Refunds will be offered if a performance needs to be cancelled due to COVID-19, but not if a patron chooses not to attend based on changes to safety protocols.
We sincerely thank you for supporting our efforts to keep everyone safe.
FACE COVERINGS
At present, CDC Guidelines regarding face coverings focus on “Community Levels” of COVID-19, determined and reported weekly by the CDC on a county by county basis. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home
When the CDC reports Community Levels for Merrimack County, NH as “Low” (green), mask wearing by patrons and front of house staff shall be optional. At “Medium” (yellow), masks will be strongly recommended for patrons and required for box office and other front of house staff. At “High” (red) masks must be worn by all patrons and front of house staff. Masks must be well fitting and must cover the nose and mouth at all times.
Masks will be available at the Audi entrance for anyone requiring one.
SEATING
Our shows at the Audi are being sold at full capacity. Audience members who find that their reserved seat is uncomfortably close to others may, with the assistance of an usher, move to an empty, unsold seat with more space around it, if one is available.
HAND HYGIENE
Frequent hand washing and liberal use of hand sanitizer, available in several locations in the Audi lobbies, is encouraged.
WHEN NOT TO ATTEND A PERFORMANCE
Please do not attend a performance if you have symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive within the past 10 days, or if you have had close contact with a COVID-positive person during the past 10 days. Patrons who cannot attend a performance due to the above may contact Box Office Chair David Murdo (nhdm40@comcast.net) about the possibility of receiving vouchers to a future performance.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK COVID-19 is a contagious respiratory disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Masking and other safety measures are helpful but do not guarantee protection against COVID-19. Audience members, staff and all others entering our performance venues are considered to be voluntarily assuming the risk of being exposed to or possibly contracting COVID-19.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES APPLICABLE TO SHOW, CAMP AND PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AND TO OTHERS WHO VISIT THE PLAYERS STUDIO
Until further notice, the following COVID-19 safety measures will apply to all participants of Players shows, camps and programs and to others who enter the Players Studio. We reserve the right to change these measures from time to time and on short notice. We sincerely thank you for supporting our efforts to keep people safe.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK. Participating in in-person community theatre programs or otherwise visiting indoor spaces may increase an individual’s risk of contracting or being exposed to COVID-19. Masking and other safety measures are helpful but do not guarantee protection against COVID-19. Participants and others entering the Players Studio, the Audi and other of our performance venues are considered to be voluntarily assuming the risk of being exposed to or possibly contracting COVID-19 while in these spaces.
MASKING
At present, CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of masks focus on “Community Levels” of COVID-19, determined and reported weekly by the CDC on a county by county basis as “Low,” “Medium” or “High” risk (denoted as green/yellow/red). https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#datatracker-home
When Community Levels for Merrimack County, NH are reported as “Low” (green), show, camp and program participants and other Studio visitors may wear masks at their option.
At “Medium” (yellow) or “High” (red) Community Levels, masks must be worn by all participants and Studio visitors while inside the Studio or performance venues, with the exception of on-stage performers who may be permitted to perform without a mask depending on the circumstances.
Masks must be well fitting and must completely cover the nose and mouth. Masks will be provided at the Studio and Audi entrances for anyone requiring one.
To help protect the health and safety of all participants and to minimize potential disruptions to our productions due to illness, cast and production team members are expected to adhere to Covid-19 and influenza protocols set by the Players’ board of directors from time to time. These protocols may change during the course of a show’s production cycle, including on short notice. For example, the wearing of masks may be required in the event of illness within the company or as a protective measure during the week(s) immediately prior to show week, even when the Community Levels for Merrimack County are reported as “Low”.
